| The Trust was established “evincing a keen and earnest desire to render social service through hospital establishment, to serve the cause of medical knowledge and to help the pursuit of medical research in India.” And for this “the best way of fulfilling the desire is through the founding of a not-for-profit oriented charitable organization”. |
| The trust with the above objective built and started the Chandrakala Hospital and Institute of Medical Research in the year 2001. |
| The hospital has multi-specialty and is 50 bedded. It has a completely equipped ICU with 5 beds. It has a OT complex with 4 OT’s and a labour room. The hospital has in-house laboratory and drug stores. |
| There are about 30 staff nurses and about 20 paramedical staff and they are on the campus at the hostel provided by the trust. |
| The hospital runs on a not-for-profit motive and the minimal profit that is made is used towards modernization of the hospital and also to subsidize the cost of treatment of poor patients. |
